Over the decades, many have around the world have experienced a massive number of supernatural, unknown, and unexplainable events. A big issue around these events is their authenticity, and whether or not they truly happened or if they were a figment of a person’s imagination. Our group hopes to take common horror myths/stories from around the world and debate on whether or not they are true. Our podcast is going to be a unique twist on the horror podcast genre by also incorporating debate, allowing for an intriguing combo of two podcasting genres, which will surely bring a new feel to the horror field.

The hosts of the podcast will be The Assistance Importer, Duffy, Hunku, and ZS. We are all students from Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School with a collective passion for podcasting and interest in the mysterious and unknown. The podcast episodes will be recorded in the school’s studio. Timothy is a Canadian of Russian descent, who has always had an interest in the mysterious and the supernatural since his youth. Nicholas is clever and curious; always looking for answers to all things different. Hank, our audio editor, does not seem as clever as the two above but has a special talent for finding the perfect way to make an interesting and enjoyable podcast. The three hosts mesh well together, overall having a great relationship between all 3 of them.

The Battle of Los Angeles
The episodes will retelling a horror or mystery story like UFOs, hauntings, the occults, or missing person cases. Then, we will debate on the story told, implementing science and our own beliefs. This will result in us coming up with theories about what may have happened or how it could be explained, however, it shouldn’t act as a criminal investigation in any way; and it shouldn’t be seen as a true-crime podcast. Each episode will last approximately 40 minutes to an hour.
Why should you listen to our podcast? While we may seem like ordinary teenagers going to a high school, but we still have great insight to add to the stories to read. Also, through this podcast, we can teach listeners to not always take everything they read at face value but rather to take a critical eye to what they here, and to examine what they have just learned to see if it is believable.

The Brown Lady
The podcast is going to be released in June 2020, released every week every Thursday, with smaller preview clips being released in April to garner interest. We will be promoting these episodes through our social media accounts on Instagram and Twitter, where we will post the aforementioned clips and new episodes. The blog will be used as a way for us to notify users of new podcast episodes and to provide additional information on them that wouldn’t fit in a social media post, like sources of our stories or extra reads after our story that we didn’t think fit but are still nice to know/read through.
Our podcast will bring a fresh new twist on the horror and debate genres, with a good variety of stories to talk about, it is unlikely we will run out of stories to read, debate. The podcast also teaches a valuable lesson about what you read online, teaching people to examine what they read or hear about. The hosts are going to enjoy hosting the podcast, and hope that you tune in to listen to our podcast and enjoy listening to it.
